I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving full of family and love and most importantly wonderful food! This year we had Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family. It was such a wonderful meal. The turkey was perfection and the stuffing was so flavorful. I couldn't have been happier until I saw what was up for dessert! An assortment of 19-yes-19 homemade pies!! It was such a lovely sight to see. On the Paras side we kind of pride ourselves with making homemade everything, it would be very brave to show up with something store bought at a family event:) I started off with some of my moms coconut cream then sort of sampled every other one I could! It was such a wonderful feast that it will be hard to top it off next year.
I tried to fit all the pies in but some of them got cut off.
Carly,
ReplyDeleteI know it is in the bible to not covet your neighbors wife, but is it okay to covet your neighbors Thanksgiving food? lol.
Hey, I am trying out this new stuff, please check out my pics of the cupcakes and red velvet cake i made. you have to scroll down some.
BTW, The red Velvet cake, Craig put it in the car on the bottom of some stuff so by the time we got to Mississpi there was a little chunk missing out of it. lol.

By the way, you will see that my albums name is in your honor.
Tell me what you think. Criticism is appreciated.
By the way, I need to practice some other cupcakes any ideas for this novice.
I am so glad you had a great Thanksgiving.
Oh, and by the way, I just got my hair done and she did it way too dark too. Lucky for me I can go back on Tuesday and she will fix it.
Love ya.
Charley
By the way,
ReplyDeleteWhat was your favorite pie? What is the easiest pie, and what is the hardest pie you have ever made?
Charley,
ReplyDeleteI checked out your pics and they look fabulous! You are really getting the hang of this baking thing. I am posting some new cupcakes pretty soon, hopefully today but I have been slacking on my blog entries so when I say today it might actually be tomorrow:) My favorite pie was my moms coconut cream, I have a really easy buttermilk pie that is so yummy! I will post the recipe soon and you could try it out. It is a full proof recipe, very easy. Keep up on the baking! When I saw your red velvet cake I just wanted to dive right in. It looked so moist!
Carly
Hi Carly, great pics of Thanksgiving!! I am so upset, I just finished baking an apple cake for my moms b-day and then I checked out your blog. I would have so much rather had that caramel cake, oh well maybe for Alyssa's b-day. Looks so super yummy! Loves, Dana
ReplyDeleteP.S. The pumpkin dessert looks divine, wish I could just run over and have one or two with you!!!
Carly,
ReplyDeleteIf and when you get a chance, I have been invited to a cookie party? Have you ever heard of that?
Do you have any good recipes for a novice like me? I have one of those cookie presser things, so i can make differnt shapes and all.
As, usual, I look to my mentor for guidance. lol
If you see that you are getting alot more hits on your blog, i have sent my whole family here to see your Thanksgiving.
You are truly blessed Carly and I am so happy for you.
Charley
