Need a moment? Try one of these yummy melting moment cookies!

These cookies are fabulous. I have been looking for a good melt in your mouth butter cookie and I found it with this recipe, courtesy of The Joy of Baking. Next time I make them I want to make a cream cheese frosting to put on the top instead of powdered sugar. But I think the powdered sugar was a fun touch because it looked like snow which here in Utah we haven't seen yet this winter! I made these for my mother in laws book group and the ladies really enjoyed them. They are super easy to make so try them out! You can find the recipe here

  1. Hey there,

Those look so good yummy. Is that book a really good one? The Joy of Baking?

I am asking cause I got invited to a cookie party. Seriously, who am i kidding? Did you pay this lady to invite me? ha ha..

I mean, what have I done to deserve this? lol.....

Apparently its based on this 12 days of cookies on the food network and the first recipe made me want to hyperventilate and take anxiety meds. lol....

Each guest should choose a cookie recipe and bake five and a half dozen cookies.
Let the hostess know what type of cookie you will be baking as soon as possible.

Bring five -dozen cookies creatively displayed according to the theme (Christmas Holiday Cookies).
The other half dozen will be used for sampling (I will arrange all sampling cookies on a platter once you arrive)

    Carly,

My fairy cookie Godmother.... Could you please help me yet once again?

I mean, this whole thing is your fault. You got me started thinking that I could do this. lol....

Have I told you lately that I love you? Seriously...

Oh, and by the way... I broke my foot on Friday. Its not so bad, its like the metatorsal or something like that. I will share how I did it in another post.

  3. Hey Carly,

Hope you don't think I am a stalker. ha ha ha ha..

I just love your site and since I broke my foot last Fri night/Sat morning I am supposed to stay off my foot so I am harrasing even loved ones. lol

I am on the couch, only have the phone, a computer and t.v. Even my dad has banned me from calling him more than once a day. lol

So, I have decided on my own not to particpate in the cookie swap. FOr one, I don't think I could stand that long. If I was good enough I would try, but I have really never made cookies lol...

Cupcakes are so much more fun. Have a great week.

  4. Charley,

I am so sorry to hear about your foot! That is no fun at all! But it is a good time to catch up on any good movies you want to see:) I'm sorry you weren't able to participate on the cookie swap, don't feel too bad though because this Christmas season is keeping me pretty busy that I haven't been able to do much baking lately. So get some rest so you can get baking soon!

    Carly
